March: A month of renewal, blooming possibilities, and the arrival of spring! What a great time to review your coverages and make it easier to enjoy the pretty colors.

I am a South Carolina native who graduated with a business degree from Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. After graduation, I was recruited to work at the nuclear facilities here, and have been an Oak Ridger for the majority of my life.

I have three children who grew up in Oak Ridge, and several grandchildren who now live here. My family loves this area because of the diversity of people, natural beauty, and the close proximity to our family back in SC.

In 1990, I left the security of my corporate job with Martin Marietta, and opened my State Farm Agency. I haven’t looked back, because I’m doing what I love to do most... help people understand and manage the risks of their everyday lives. Along with my caring and experienced team, I help our customers find the right insurance coverage for every need they have. We also pride ourselves on providing a smooth insurance transition for newcomers to Oak Ridge, Anderson County, West Knoxville, and the surrounding areas.

Professional, civic and social involvement:

- past State president of the NAIFA-TN;

- past-president and chairman of the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) committee of the Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club.

- former Board Director of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Anderson County, Girls Inc,, and Blossom Center for Childhood Excellence;

- past-chairman, Oak Ridge Medical Center (MMC) Advisory Board;

- past-president Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Oak Ridge chapter, and the Altrusa Club of Oak Ridge.
